Racists Rants by School Principals

Its mind boggling that we have heads of schools insulting students under their care! The role of the teacher is to care for the welfare and the emotional, pedagogical needs of the students. There are programs to be executed in the school. Even if a child has transgressed or broken some rules written or otherwise, it is the professional duty of the teacher to explain, educate and lead the child to the “right” way.

But to go on top of an emotional mountain and shout racial slurs on young people under your care is just unforgivable! It should never happen even for once.

The fact that this has happened and is being repeated by another head in another school makes it worse. There have been anecdotes after anecdotes of racial slurs hurled against non-Muslim students all through the years. It is clear that the problem is endemic.

As usual the education authorities will dismiss these incidents as misunderstandings or misinterpretation of words. And pretend that all is well. We will see if this is going to continue.
